The internet is drowning in paywalls, dark patterns, and "free" tools that aren't really free. freemediaheckyeah.org cuts through the noise — a no-BS vault of tools and resources that are genuinely free, tested by real people, and maintained by a community that actually cares.

We believe that access to quality software, information, and entertainment should not be gated behind your credit card. If it's free and it works, it belongs here.

We don't host content — we curate links. Every entry is human-reviewed, categorised, and tagged. Broken links get removed. Unsafe sites get blacklisted. The vault stays clean because the community stays vigilant.

This vault is maintained by volunteers spread across the globe — developers, students, privacy advocates, and power users who got tired of the same broken "free resources" lists. No corporate backing. No VC money. Just people who love sharing what works.

Every decision — what gets added, what gets removed, how we rate things — happens in the open on GitHub. No blackbox moderation. No secret editorial team. If you disagree with a decision, you can see why it was made, challenge it, or fork the whole thing.

The codebase is open. The data is open. We've got nothing to hide, and that's the point.
